What are the requirements as a foreigner for applying for the e-Visa
The Vietnam e-visa is a type of visa issued to foreigners by the Vietnamese Immigration Department via an electronic system.
- It is valid for a maximum of 30 days and allows for a single entry into the country.
- Normally it is processed within 3 working days.
- Allows you to enter to Vietnam throught 33 international checkpoints
- The application process is completely online.
Application requeriments:
- You must be outside Vietnam.
- Is only valid for foreigners.
- You will need to have a passport that is valid for at least 6 months following your arrival date.
- You must have a passport of one of they 80 elegible countries.
- Have a 4×6 passport photo with a white background and no glasses for your application process.
Entry requirements
- To enter Vietnam, you must have a valid passport and an appropriate visa. One option for obtaining a visa is to apply for an e-Visa.
- You must select your entry/exit points at the time of application and you cannot make any amendments once your application is completed. Additionally, you must not fall into any of the cases of suspension from entry prescribed in Article 21 of Law on foreigners’ entry into, exit from, transit through, residence in Vietnam.
- It is also a requirement to have travel insurance that covers COVID-19 treatment with a minimum coverage of $10,000.
- You have to download a PC-Covid mobile app. You can find it in the Apple Store and in the Google Play Store.
- Is mandatory to wear face mask all the time, including on flights, public transport, health centers and outdoors.
The Vietnamese Government is becoming less strict with the Covid-19 measures. Now is not mandatory to show any proof of Covid vaccination and also is not mandatory to take any Covid test before your arrival and neither to do quarantine after arriving to Vietnam.
